Customer Accounting Database & DEFRA Requirements
Face to Face Sales
When you buy from us at the shop we complete a form with your name, address and contact details including email We record the information onto our accounting software ‘Quickbooks’. We are also under regulations by DEFRA to keep your details as you are buying livestock. This is so that we or DEFRA can contact you in the event of an infectious disease but also for Animal Health & wellbeing requirements. We attach the credit card receipt to the form and store it in a locked cabinet.
We use Woo Commerce to operate our store online, we download the data from woo commerce to use to keep in touch with you by email. We keep you updated with industry news, updates on Avian flu and other risks along with helpful tips, special offers and new products. All payments on our website are processed by Paypal.
Our accounting software is ‘Quickbooks’. We only store your First Name, Surname, Contact Telephone Number and Email Address. This data is stored in a secure database on Quickbooks and is stored for the purpose of contacting you for accounting & animal welfare purposes in line with HMRC & DEFRA Guidelines. Please be assured that we do not share your personal details with any other company without your consent.
When someone visits moonridgefarm.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
We collect personal information through our e-newsletter sign up on our website. We ask for First Name, Surname and Email address. We use that information for the following reasons:We keep you updated with industry news, updates on Avian flu and other risks along with helpful tips, special offers and new products. We do not rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer Kate Anstey firstname.lastname@example.org. Data may be handled/accessed by our designated marketing agency Task & Time Ltd in this case where possible data will be anonymised.
