The Geese At Moon Ridge Farm have been hatched and reared on the farm from our own flock so are truley local,traditionally reared from day old  These birds have an excellent meat to bone ratio and tend to be more compact making them fit more easily into the oven! Our  goose is succulent but not excessively fatty with a sublime taste

We keep a limited number of geese preferring to concentrate on the quality of the bird then on quantity

The  geese are processed on our farm ensuring that the least amount of stress for the bird The geese are dry plucked and wax finished by hand they are hung for at least 10 days so you are ensured of an exceptional bird

The geese enjoy ranging over thirty  acres of Mid Devon pasture land grazing the meadow grass with access to fresh spring water , natural ponds ,and resting in the shade of oak trees.

Moon Ridge  geese are fed on a mix of  specialist feed from a local mill with out any GM products or antibiotics and locally grown corn

All our mail order geese are delivered in a special cool boxes with ice packs to keep your goose fresh and cool

To order a goose for Christmas you can

1. Order on line via our on line shop for either delivered or collected birds payment is made with your credit card through pay pal. If you wish to pay by cheque please see below
2. Place your order by telephone and pay by cheque for delivered birds or cash/cheque in advance for collection of your bird
3. Place your order via email and again payment by cheque for delivered birds or cash/cheque in advance for collection of your goose from the farm

If your delivery is to the Highlands or the Channel Islands please email us before ordering . Please note we do not deliver outside of the uk. Please note that until payment is cleared either through paypal or cheque your order will not be processed.

Please note we use the services of a courier for delivery of your goose , we supply our geese to the courier in a good condition , however we can not be resposible in any way for the delay in the delivery of the product or any damage . Moon ridge farm are not in any respect responsible for the performance of the courier .

Due to the nature of the business and supplying oven ready birds we can not always supply the exact weight and there may be slight variations in the weight of the bird to what was ordered .

WHAT SIZE GOOSE SHOULD I ORDER? 
This is an approximate guide to how many people each weight of goose feeds .It will vary on your portion size and appetite of your guest . Goose meat is richer then turkey and there fore it is felt that you require less meat in a portion We suggest the following .

4kg goose ~ four people

4.5kg goose ~four/five people

5kg goose ~five/six people

5.5kg goose ~ six /seven people

6kg goose eight /nine people

6.5kg ten people

I WANT TO COLLECT MY GOOSE ?

Please be sure to order Goose collected . Moon ridge farm is on the A377 two mile west of Exeter in the village of Half Moon . Our postal code is EX5 5AA. We have a large wooden sign on the road and the entrance to the farm is directly off the road .

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY GOOSE ?

If you order via the on line shop youcan pay via credit card , if you order by telephone /email or post you can make payment via cheque . If you are collecting your goose and order your goose via email/post or telephone you can pay either cheque  or cash in advance  We can not accept credit/debit cards at the farm. Our address is Moon Ridge Farm , Half Moon , Exeter , Devon EX5 5AA . Cheques need to be payable to Moon Ridge Farm.

WHAT DO I GET WITH MY GOOSE?

You get the goose , the giblets and the fat as well as a pop up timer and recipe booklet. We give you all the fat from the goose and do not sell the fat sepretley .

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY GOOSE?

You need to take it out of its packaging and store it on the lower shelf of your fridge covered with kitchen roll or a clean tea towel.

HOW DO I COOK MY GOOSE?

You will have full cooking instructions included with your goose as well as some recipe ideas and a pop up timer for free !!
